Let’s talk about Neapolitan Pizza. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill slice. Originating in Naples, this pizza features no-nonsense ingredients and a skilled prep method. If you haven't had it, you haven't lived.

Neapolitan pizza is all about crust perfection – thin in the middle, puffy and airy on the edges, with just the right amount of char. The high-quality ingredients and quick baking time ensure each bite is tender, pliable, and slightly crisp. It’s a pizza experience that’s both authentically Italian and universally delicious.

What do you mean by "Midwesternly Neapolitan" pizza?

It’s our special twist on tradition. We craft our pizzas with the authentic techniques of Neapolitan pizza-making—hand-stretched dough, fresh toppings, and a quick bake in a blazing wood-fired oven—then add a dash of Midwestern charm. That means our pizzas are shareable, the flavors are bold, and you’re likely to get a warm "How ya doin'?" when you walk through the door. It's pizza with Italian roots but raised right here in the Midwest.

Should I fold my slice?

For the love of pizza, please fold.

What about extra cheese?

While we certainly are big cheese fans around here but extra cheese can make for a slippery slice and a soggy experience.

Where is Old Scratch Pizza located?

Old Scratch Pizza has four locations in Southwestern Ohio, near the Greater Dayton area. To find your nearest location visit our locations page. We’d love to see you!

What are your hours of operation?

We’re serving up pies six days a week: Tuesday - Thursday & Sunday 11am-9pm, and Friday and Saturday 11am-10pm

What types of pizzas do you offer?

We serve up what we call “Midwesternly Neapolitan” pizza. Imagine a classic Neapolitan pizza (handstrectched dough, woodfired crust, fresh ingredients) made with familiar Midwestern flavors, and served by some pretty nice people.

Do you offer gluten-free or vegan options?

Everyone can enjoy pizza at Old Scratch! We offer a gluten-free crust we make in house using Caputo Fieroglut gluten-free flour.

We carry Miyoko’s “mozzarella,” a nut based vegan cheese and Follow Your Heart vegan cheese, a nut and soy free option. A list of our vegan pizza options at can be found at oldscratchpizza.com/menu, but you can swap in vegan cheese on any pizza you like.

P.S. Plenty other menu items like salads and appetizer can easily be made vegan and gluten-free as well. Just ask when you order or contact us for more information!

Can you accommodate food allergies?

Can I place an order online or over the phone?

You can place an online order at order.oldscratchpizza.com. Please pay attention to the instructions in your confirmation email on where to pick up your online order. It varies from location to location.

During non-peak hours we are able to take orders over the phone.

Do you offer catering?

Though we do not offer offsite catering, our to-go Catering Packages are the perfect option for feeding a large group. They come in three different sizes and offer your choice of pizzas, a catering size House or Caesar salad, and several add-on side options.

Can I make a reservation?

Because we are a casual counter service restaurant, seating is first come first served. For groups larger than 15 please contact us through our Private Dining form at oldscratchpizza.com/private-dining

How do I order if I want to dine-in?

When you arrive, just roll on up to the counter. You'll order your meal, grab a number, and find a cozy spot. You can head to the bar for some pints or cocktails. We’ll bring your pies to your table piping hot, straight from our wood-fired ovens. You just sit back, relax, and enjoy the good vibes (and the even better pizza), and we’ll clear away your dishes when you’re done!

Is there outdoor seating available?

Each Old Scratch location features a killer outdoor space for you and your friends to relax and enjoy your pizza and maybe a few craft beers.

Do you have any private dining rooms or event spaces?

You bet we do! Whether you’re celebrating, have a meeting, or just want to throw a pizza party, we’ve got you covered. Our private dining spaces at our Troy and Dayton locations are perfect for groups who want a slice of the action all to themselves. Do you have a kid's menu?

Pizza has no age limit! For our OSP fans 12 and under we have our Shorty Pizza (who looks a little like a famous mouse…) It comes with a free drink.

Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?

Yes, all our locations are wheelchair accessible.

Are pets allowed in outdoor seating areas?

Well-behaved pups are welcome on our patios!
